Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry is one of many people whose minds are focused on the tragedy that unfolded in Nashville on Monday.
Earlier today, an armed 28-year-old woman entered the Covenant School, a private Christian school in Nashville, and shot and killed three students and three adults. The woman was later shot and killed by police.
Henry took to Twitter in the aftermath of the attack and offered his sympathies for those who lost their lives.
“I am heartbroken and sick over the lives lost today at Covenant School. I’m praying for comfort and peace for all those affected in our community,” Henry wrote.

Henry, 29, has played his entire seven-year NFL career in Nashville with the Titans and has become a fixture in the community.
His words may not count for much following this senseless, all-too-common tragedy, but they are nice to read nonetheless.
We’d like to extend our own prayers and condolences to all whose lives were taken or affected by today’s events.
