Andre Dillard will look to reclaim playing time away from the Philadelphia Eagles.
Per NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, Dillard agreed to a three-year, $29 million deal with the Tennessee Titans.
Dillard saw his role reduced drastically last season, playing just 37 snaps on offense. The offensive tackle played sparingly in Philadelphia’s two NFC wins but didn’t log a snap during the Super Bowl.
After the Eagles selected him with the No. 22 pick, Dillard played all 16 games during his 2019 rookie campaign. However, a biceps tear wiped out his entire 2020 season.
Dillard returned to start five of 15 games played in 2021. He didn’t get much work behind star tackles Jordan Mailata and Lane Johnson last year.
Tennessee could give Dillard a clearer pathway to reps. Dennis Daley and Le’Raven Clark are both free agents, and the Titans cut Taylor Lewan last month.
Lewan, who spent the last nine seasons with the Titans, told Dillard he’s “gonna love Nashville.”
So long as he can block for Derrick Henry (or whoever starts at running back for the Titans in 2023) and keep the quarterback upright, he’ll get along with the fans just fine.
Was this a good signing for the Eagles?
