Last week, the Titans released three-time Pro Bowl offensive tackle Taylor Lewan.
On Tuesday afternoon, Lewan shared a photo of his old equipment on social media. His cleats, clothes and shoulder pads were apparently dumped on his doorstep.
“Shout out to the Titans dropping my stuff off today,” Lewan wrote on Twitter. “They even let me keep the shoulder pads.”
Football fans wasted no time reacting to Lewan’s photo.
Although there are plenty of people disappointed in the Titans, Lewan’s latest tweet proves the NFL is simply a business.
“Sadly it’s just a business,” one fan said. “Loyalty means nothing.”
“Very classless,” a second fan tweeted at the Titans.
Another fan wrote, “It’s a business.”
Lewan was drafted by the Titans in 2014. He appeared in just two games this past season due to a knee injury.
It’s unclear what’s next for Lewan. A decision will most likely be made in the next month or so.
