The Tennessee Titans announced three roster moves on Wednesday, releasing a trio of players with ample NFL experience.
Tennessee let go of three-time Pro Bowl left tackle Taylor Lewan, as well as wide receiver Robert Woods and kicker Randy Bullock.
Lewan was the franchise’s first-round pick in 2014 and spent nine seasons in Nashville, but injuries have limited him to only 20 games played since 2020. He was released with a “failed physical” designation.
Woods, meanwhile, spent the 2022 season with the Titans after five years with the Rams and four in Buffalo. He caught 53 passes for 527 yards and two touchdowns, and certainly seems to be happy to be moving on.
As for Bullock, he kicked for Tennessee the last two seasons, going 43-of-51 on field goal attempts and making 70-of-73 extra point tries.
This will be a pivotal offseason for the Titans, who lost their final seven games to finish 7-10 and miss the playoffs in 2022.
We’d expect more roster shuffling in the coming weeks, which could potentially include the team moving on from starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill
