As the starting quarterback for the Kentucky Wildcats and while at Penn State before that, Will Levis wore the No. 7 jersey. But now that he’s on the Tennessee Titans, will he continue wearing No. 7 in the NFL?
Taking to Twitter on Saturday, Levis cryptically tweeted “It was always 8.” Fans quickly speculated that he was referring to his new jersey number with the Titans.
But Levis quickly clarified what he meant. In a follow-up tweet, Levis said that the “8” he was referring to was Mage’s post position in the Kentucky Derby.
As a result, Levis’ jersey number with the Titans remains a mystery. Though every indication suggests that he will be wearing the No. 8 jersey anyway.
Referencing the derby winner…

Will Levis is listed on Wikipedia as having the No. 8 even though the Titans haven’t officially announced it as such. But there’s other evidence too.
For starters, Levis posted on Twitter yesterday an image of a Nashville Predators jersey with his name and the No. 8. That official announcement will likely be coming soon.
The likelihood that he was going to get the No. 7 was low to begin with. It’s currently held by Malik Willis.
Will Will Levis wear the No. 8 with the Titans, or will he wind up with a different number?
