The Titans made a huge splash on Day 2 of the 2023 NFL Draft, trading up to pick No. 33 to select Kentucky quarterback Will Levis.
Levis, a two-year starter at Kentucky, will join a depth chart that includes Ryan Tannehill and Malik Willis.
During Friday night’s news conference, Titans head coach Mike Vrabel was asked about the team’s quarterback room heading into OTAs. He made it clear that Tannehill will start off as the No. 1 option.
However, Levis and Willis will have the chance to show they’re worthy of the starting job.
“Ryan will be the starting quarterback on Monday,” Vrabel said, via NFL.com. “Malik will be the backup. Will will be the third quarterback. And what I’ve told them is whatever happens after that will be up to the players. That’s what it’s always been here. That’s what we always want it to be.”

Tannehill is entering the final year of his contract with the Titans. In 2022, he was limited by a nagging ankle injury.
Willis, meanwhile, looked shaky every time he was under center. He completed just 50.8 percent of his passes for 276 yards with three interceptions.
It’ll be interesting to see how Levis fares this offseason in Tennessee. The opportunity is there for him to climb up the depth chart.
