NFL fans will try to enjoy the Fourth of July with a heavy heart. That’s because this day is the unfortunate anniversary of Steve McNair’s death.
McNair, a former MVP quarterback and Walter Payton Award winner, was found dead from multiple gunshot wounds on July 4, 2009.
To this day, the NFL community misses McNair dearly. He wasn’t just a special talent, he was an icon for many football fans.
As you’d expect, the Titans honored McNair this Tuesday on social media. Their fan base is understandably upset that “Air McNair” has been gone for 14 years.
