NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The National Football League Alumni Association is hosting a training camp for dads on Saturday.
NFL legends will be teaching various skills — not just for football but also for fatherhood.
Players scheduled to attend include Michael Oher, Brad Hopkins, Winston Justice, Dexter McCluster and Al Smith.
The event is designed for all dads and their families, offering a day of fun activities with a focus on parenting.
The idea is to have an open conversation about fatherhood, highlight health and wellness resources and allow opportunities to connect with other dads.
Hopkins is a former Tennessee Titans offensive lineman and a two-time Pro Bowl selection who helped the team reach a Super Bowl.
Hopkins said his dad was instrumental in his football career and life and wants to help other dads become the best parents they can be.

“For me, it was just one way to acknowledge the importance of fathers — and particularly my father — and how they could make a difference,” Hopkins said. “If something that we say or experience that we hear from our podcast or even the event itself helps change or helps shape who you are as a father, then the goal is accomplished.”
The event takes place at noon on Saturday, June 21, at Belmont University.
