The NFL offseason is a time for reports and rumors to run rampant.
When it comes to Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry, there are conflicting reports about the team’s plans for the Pro Bowler. Recently there was a report from Bally Sports’ Michael Silver saying the Titans were looking to deal Henry.
However, CBS Sports’ Jonathan Jones said on Tuesday that the Titans are not shopping Henry. Jones also theorizes that since Tennessee does not want to tank in the AFC South, it wouldn’t make sense to get rid of the offense’s most reliable contributor.
We’ll see whose reporting is more accurate, but there are plenty of Titans fans who seem relieved by Jones’ latest notes.
“Thank Jesus. This shouldn’t come back to bite me at all #TitanUp,” one fan wrote.
“I can’t begin to imagine what they were thinking if it was true. Hoping it’s not,” another added.
“THANK YOU GOD,” a third said simply.
“We ride! Franchise player staying home,” a fourth person chimed in.
After injuries wiped away half of his 2021 season, Henry returned to make 16 starts for the Titans in 2022.
He rushed for 1,538 yards and 13 touchdowns on a league-high 349 carries while also setting personal marks in receptions (33) and receiving yards (398).
Henry turned 29 back in January.
