So Ian Rapoport said today on the NFL Network that the timeline for Derrick Henry returning from this injury is 6-10 weeks:
From NFL Now: #Titans RB Derrick Henry will have foot surgery tomorrow morning and be out 6-10 weeks. Six would be quite fast, eight is more likely. Either way, Tennessee expects Henry back this season. pic.twitter.com/UzoJqNlcFF

Mike Vrabel said today that he won’t necessarily listen to the timeline on when Henry will be ready to come back. Much is going to be made of that, but I would guess Vrabel was saying he might be willing to hold Henry longer than suggested if that is what is best for the team and Henry.
Back to the 6-10 weeks number, I’d be good with them holding Henry out until the playoffs. As I said on Homerun Throwback this morning (listen here), the Titans are still going to win the division. There is no reason to rush him back to get snaps in the regular season.
We could be looking at a rested Derrick Henry to start the playoffs. That would catapult them back into the Super Bowl contender conversation.
