On Saturday morning, one NFL team received some bad news when police arrested the team’s first round pick from the 2020 draft.
Tennessee Titans rookie offensive lineman Isaiah Wilson found himself in trouble with the law late Friday night. According to a report from A to Z Sports in Nashville, police arrested Wilson for driving under the influence.
“Wilson was arrested at 11:29 pm, booked at 12:44 am Saturday morning and bonded out at 1:28 am,” the report states. “Wilson blew a 0.107 and 0.113 at the time he was pulled over.”
Tennessee selected Wilson with the No. 29 overall pick in the 2020 NFL draft. After losing star offensive lineman Jack Conklin in free agency, the team had a major hole to fill.
Wilson was expected to come in and compete for a starting role on the offensive line right away. It looks like he might have to wait a little longer to make that first start, though.

Tennessee issued a statement saying the team is aware of the situation.
“We are aware of the situation,” the Titans said in a statement. “This is not conduct that is indicative of the character of our football team and we are working through details on how to proceed.”
The Titans are scheduled to face off against the Denver Broncos in the late Monday night window. Kickoff is scheduled for 10:10 p.m. ET following the Pittsburgh Steelers-New York Giants contest.
