On Wednesday, Jordan Schultz of theScore reported that Robert Woods is being released by the Titans.
Woods was traded from the Rams to the Titans last March. He finished his first season in Tennessee with 53 receptions for 527 yards and two touchdowns.
It didn’t take long for Woods to share his thoughts on the Titans releasing him.
Moments ago, Woods tweeted, “Free!”
Woods also said, “Where should I go.”
ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler provided some context regarding Woods’ tweet.
“Was a rough year for Titans passing attack so this tweet seems fitting,” Fowler said.
The Titans are expected to save $12 million in cap space by releasing Woods.
Woods will now have the chance to see what’s out there for him on the open market. Teams in need of a veteran pass catcher could express interest in the USC product.
In addition to releasing Woods, the Titans have decided to part ways with offensive tackle Taylor Lewan.
