For the second year in a row, the Tennessee Titans have selected a top-tier quarterback prospect.
After taking Malik Willis with a third-round pick in 2022, the Titans went and got Will Levis with an early second-round pick in this year’s draft.
After last year’s draft, Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill got into some hot water when he said it was “not his job” to mentor the then-incoming rookie Willis. So this year, the veteran quarterback was more careful with his. words.
“Will Levis is a talented guy. Hopefully he adds to the room… We’ve been down this road before. My job is to go out there and win games,” Tannehill said, per team insider Jim Wyatt.

Levis is certainly more of a threat to Tannehill’s starting job than Willis was when he arrived in 2022. Levis was at one point considered a possible No. 2 overall pick in this year’s draft before he slipped all the way out of the first round.
Tannehill is expected to start the season as the Titans’ QB1, with Willis and Levis battling for the primary backup position.
