The offseason news cycle has largely powered down, minus a big name or two left to find their future homes. With the NFL Draft now behind them, teams are restructuring their personnel departments. The Tennessee Titans are no different, seeing a slew of changes in their front office under new leadership. Who did new General Manager Mike Borgonzi tab in his first go-around as the head man in charge?
Tennessee Titans Front Office Taking Shape Under New GM
Interestingly, as people departed the previous regime under Ran Carthon, there are titles that no longer exist or have been folded into different areas. For instance, there is no inherent director of scouting with AJ Highsmith’s departure to New England. Several promotions were given out as is par for the course under new administrations. Chad Brinker will oversee the whole operation as President of Football Operations.
Department Heads
Dave Ziegler – Assistant General Manager

Ziegler served as the general manager of the Raiders before the organization relieved him of his duties during the 2023 season. He then moved to New Orleans as an advisor during the 2024 campaign. The former GM possesses an extensive background in scouting and player personnel. He’ll likely assist Borgonzi in those regards in managing scouts and the daily aspects of the department. Perhaps, if his tenure in Nashville goes well, he’ll be considered for a more stable general manager position with another team. He got his start in the NFL with the Denver Broncos during the short-lived Josh McDaniels regime, then moved on to the New England Patriots before getting his chance with the Raiders.
Reggie McKenzie – Vice President / Senior Advisor
The prodigal son of the Volunteer State finally returns home in an advisory role with a vice president title. Tennessee requested an interview with McKenzie during the hiring process. He was part of the extensive list of potential GM candidates, but agreed to take on the “Senior Advisor” capacity. McKenzie brings a wealth of knowledge after years of experience as a front office executive. His draft classes have been rich in successful talent with names like Khalil Mack, Tua Tagovailoa, Jevon Holland, and Christian Wilkins. Interestingly, he also served as Raiders GM, so he and Ziegler can commiserate together on their shared experiences. Given his administrative background, it could be perceived that he will advise on how to handle the day-to-day minutiae of the job.
Dan Saganey – Vice President / Player Personnel
Saganey comes over from the “Mistake By The Lake” after 16 years of service with the Browns. He slowly advanced up the ranks to become Cleveland’s Director of Pro Scouting in 2016. The former Cleveland executive earned another promotion to Director of Player Personnel in 2019. According to Albert Breer, he has ties to the Borgonzi family as he worked with Mike’s brother, Dave, in a previous life. He will likely be responsible for handling player management and development, and will also contribute to the pro scouting department, given his background in this area.
Directors
Jon Salge – Director of Player Personnel
The 20-year veteran of the Titans assumes a new role within the organization after eight seasons as director of college scouting. According to Paul Kuharsky, the duties of the college scouting director position will remain within Salge’s purview. Under the new streamlined front office, he will likely report to Mr. Saganey. Salge comes from a college scouting background, but he also has experience as a professional scout. He is another dual threat for Mike Borgonzi and Chad Brinker to utilize.
Kevin Turks – Director of Pro Personnel
Turks began his career with the Bears as a pro scout in 2002 and worked his way up to the Director of Player Personnel position in 2013. He left the organization to join the Titans as a pro scout in 2015. It’s been a rapid rise up the ranks for him as Turks became an assistant DPP in 2018. He was recently promoted to the position of Director of Pro Personnel in May. It could be speculated that Turks will share the Player Personnel workload, while Salge also oversees the college scouting side, in addition to his responsibilities in Player Personnel.
Mike Boni – Assistant Director of College Scouting
Boni is a well-traveled executive who earned the promotion to Assistant Director of College Scouting this spring. He was previously the Titans’ national scout for five seasons. Before his service in Tennessee, Boni served as the Northeast scout for the Cardinals. He began his NFL career with a two-year stint in Buffalo, where he served as a pro personnel assistant and college scout. While not the highest-ranking executive in the college scouting department by title, it could be said that he’s the point man for that area behind Salge. Dale Thompson is the team’s other ADCS, so the two can share the workload that Highsmith left behind.
Scouts
Sam Summerville – Senior National Scout
Summerville enters his first season as the Titans’ Senior National Scout after becoming a scout for Tennessee last season. His background begins with the Chicago Bears organization, where he first served as a Southeastern scout, then advanced to SNS. He has unearthed a wealth of talent for the Bears in his primary region, featuring names such as Darnell Wright, Jon Bostic, Eddie Goldman, Leonard Floyd, Tarik Cohen, and Roquan Smith. He will bring a natural eye for talent in the football hotbeds in the South, where a majority of the talent is drafted from. His direct chain of command will probably be Mr. Boni. Summerville and Boni had a chance to speak after the sixth round of the 2025 NFL Draft.
Keenan Agnew – Pro Scout
Agnew is one of the newer faces in the Titans franchise, entering his second season with the team. He’s the son of longtime NFL executive Ray Agnew, who was a possible candidate for the GM job that ultimately went to Borgonzi. The younger Agnew spent last season as a scouting assistant before being promoted to Pro Scout the previous month. If he inherits his father’s immeasurable talent for scouting and front office work, he’ll be a long-tenured member of the league. To secure a promotion without his father’s help after just one season speaks volumes about his work ethic and character under a new administration. He’ll be part of the future that helps shape the Titans’ new front office.
Kalan Reed – Area Scout
Joining Agnew as a sophomore in the Titans front office is none other than Reed, who played for the team as recently as 2018. Reed served as a personnel scout in 2024 but has crossed over into the collegiate scouting world with a promotion to area scout. While his scouting area probably won’t be revealed until the season, if at all, the Yellowhammer State native is a good bet to cover the South or West within Summerville’s and Thompson’s purview.
Jack Turner – College Scout
The North Carolinian spent the majority of his professional career in the Research Triangle, but did cross over with Mike Borgonzi as a training camp intern with the 2021 Chiefs. He joins the scouting department after working for the University of Michigan last season as a recruiting analyst. According to his LinkedIn profile and social media, he has been assigned to the Northeastern region by the Titans.
Assistants
Alex Kline – Scouting Assistant
Kline is the latest college coach/executive to flee to the NFL ranks, where the lifestyle is more conducive to one’s sanity. Before he got scooped up by the Titans, he served as the Pitt Panthers’ Director of Player Personnel. Kline also has coaching experience, in addition to his front office credentials, having coached receivers for Akron in 2021. His coaching exploits stem from his role as an offensive quality control staffer during his first stint with the Panthers. He then moved on to Memphis as their DPP for the 2022 season. The Keystone State native is a John Carroll alumnus like AGM Dave Ziegler. Kline could be a name to monitor for eventual promotion to the player personnel side, but he could also move into coaching if he so desired.
Geoffery “Geo” Leins – Scouting Assistant
Another native of North Carolina, Leins played college football in his home state for the Campbell Camels. He spent the majority of his professional career within the famed Research Triangle, like Turner, working for Wake Forest and NC State. Leins also spent two years with UCLA as a recruiting analyst. Before he arrived in Nashville, Leins retained the same role for the Miami Dolphins from 2023 to 2025. The Camels’ star does have experience on the player personnel side, albeit briefly, as an assistant director of player personnel for NC State. It remains to be seen how his role in the Titans’ new front office will be shaped under Borgonzi and company.
