The Tennessee Titans have found their 20th head coach in franchise history: Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan.

On Wednesday, the Titans formally announced that Callahan is the new head coach of the team. Per the announcement, his introductory press conference will be held on Thursday.

In a statement, Titans owner Amy Adams Strunk highlighted his exceptional track record of working with quarterbacks and finding success at multiple different franchises.

“This is an exciting time for our franchise, and we’re thrilled to have Brian as our head coach,” Adams Strunk said. “We went through a thorough candidate search and Brian stood out as the best person to lead our football team. I want to thank the other candidates who were part of this process and wish them well moving forward.

The success being referenced is Callahan’s role as an offensive assistant for the Denver Broncos during Peyton Manning’s run there, which culminated in a Super Bowl win in 2015.

Callahan spent two years as quarterbacks coach of the Detroit Lions, one in the same role for the Raiders and spent the last five as offensive coordinator for the Cincinnati Bengals, during which he oversaw the development of Joe Burrow and helped the team reach the Super Bowl in 2021.

Will Brian Callahan be a good fit for the Titans?
