The 2025 NFL Draft has been immortalized for the ages after three days filled with palatial drama and heartwarming stories. There were also some comedic moments, such as Ohio State’s Quinshon Judkins allegedly taking the Browns’ Super Bowl euphemism literally when the organization called him. In other moments of levity, Kelvin Banks had a clean-up on aisle five before traveling to New Orleans. While the Titans did their best to fill the remaining roster holes through the draft, they ultimately could not. What are the few remaining offseason needs for the Tennessee Titans after the 2025 NFL Draft?
Tennessee Titans Offseason Needs After The 2025 NFL Draft
EDGE
Despite spending premium resources on the position during the offseason, EDGE remains a persistent need for the Titans. The depth behind projected starters Arden Key and Dre’Mont Jones isn’t the most viable. Unless the organization is content with relying on the internal development of returnees like Jaylen Harrell and Ali Gaye, a move could be expected. Tennessee did sign former Falcons pass rusher Lorenzo Carter to a one-year deal in late March to provide depth. Veteran options include Tyus Bowser, who briefly crossed over with DC Dennard Wilson in Baltimore. Carl Lawson is another veteran with ties to the coaching staff, as he is familiar with Brian Callahan from their time together in Cincinnati. The ageless Jerry Hughes could earn a phone call from Tennessee after being a thorn in their side for years.
Right Tackle Depth
Rising sophomore JC Latham switched over to the right side after the big bucks signing of Dan Moore, Jr, to handle the left. Some questions need to be answered, as the depth behind Latham is shaky at best, extremely dire at worst. Currently, the competition between the young and inconsistent duo of Jaelyn Duncan and Isaiah Prince is set to kick off. Undrafted free agent Brendan Crenshaw-Dickson is battling for a roster spot behind those two. Longtime veteran George Fant remains available and met with the Titans earlier this month. Other notable names include former Titan Chris Hubbard and left tackle Jedrick Wills. However, with two young tackles set on the bookends, meeting with Wills is extremely unlikely. Tennessee will likely have to rely on internal growth or mine the waiver wire as camp cuts are made.
Safety
The Titans invested a third-round selection in Penn State safety Kevin Winston, Jr and kept starter Amani Hooker despite rampant speculation that he would be traded. Depth is still a need for the position behind Hooker and projected free safety starter Xavier Woods. Currently, Mike Brown is listed as Woods’ backup, and he’s been inconsistent. Tenured veterans include Quandre Diggs, who could return to the team. The former Texas safety is a cousin of rookie quarterback Cam Ward and played well last season before suffering an injury. Other names include Julian Blackmon and Marcus Maye. However, it is unlikely that the Titans will chase after any big names. Instead, they will probably rely on in-house development or trawl the wire once training camp ends.
