The Tennessee Titans have lost one of their competitors for a depth spot along the defensive line after placing veteran defensive lineman Kyle Peko on Injured Reserve, the team announced on Thursday afternoon.
With Peko out, players at the position on the roster bubble like Naquan Jones, Woodrow Hamilton, Freedom Akinmoladun, and Anthony Rush, who is on the COVID-19 list, will all have a better chance to make the cut. Jones has long been our choice of this group.
The only locks the Titans have upfront are Jeffery Simmons, Denico Autry, Teair Tart and Larrell Murchison. Simmons, Autry and Tart figure to be the starters, with Murchison factoring in as a rotational piece.
The Titans were quite busy making moves on Thursday, as the team signed three players, placed three on the Reserve/COVID-19 list, and activated one from the NFI list. Those moves can all be viewed below.
