C.J. Stroud could be going in the top three after all.
According to NFL insider Marcus Mosher, there’s been some increasing chatter about the Tennessee Titans trading up to No. 3 to select the Ohio State quarterback prospect.
“The C.J. Stroud to Tennessee at No. 3 whispers continue to get louder and louder,” Mosher reported on the morning of Draft Day.

The No. 3 overall pick is currently held by the Arizona Cardinals. But due to their commitment to quarterback Kyler Murray, they’ve become a popular target for a potential draft-day trade.
The Titans’ quarterback depth chart currently consists of veteran Ryan Tannehill and 2022 third-round pick Malik Willis. The team, which currently has the No. 11 pick in this year’s draft, could certainly benefit from adding one of the top QB options in this year’s class.
Stroud was once considered as a possible No. 1 overall pick in this year’s draft. But over the past week or so, his stock plummeted. Bryce Young is expected to go No. 1 overall to the Carolina Panthers, and the Texans are widely projected to take a pass rusher or Will Levis at No. 2.
Both Mel Kiper Jr. and Todd McShay have the Titans trading up to select Stroud.
