Titans add a pair of familiar faces to their practice squad

The Tennessee Titans are bringing back a pair of familiar places. Firstly, the team added tight end MyCole Pruitt to their practice squad, per John Glennon.

Pruitt spent the past three seasons with the Titans. It’s an interesting reunion. He departed the team in free agency after signing with the 49ers in June of this year, but was waived at the end of August. The Titans opted to bring back Geoff Swaim and reunite with Luke Stocker, and seemingly bet on the continued development of Tommy Hudson while giving a chance to an undrafted free agent in Miller Forristall. Stocker and Forristall have now been released as Pruitt becomes the lone tight end on the practice squad. All in all, it’s a quality addition. Should Pruitt join the active roster in any fashion during the regular season, we’re confident he’ll be able to do his job at a high level.

Secondly, former Titans defensive lineman Amani Bledsoe has also signed to the practice squad, per the team. Bledsoe signed with the Titans as an undrafted free agent back in 2019 and generally remained with them (on again, off again) until July of 2020. He then spent time with the Cincinnati Bengals, but is now back in Tennessee. He joins defensive linemen Naquan Jones and Woodrow Hamilton on the practice squad.

Also on Friday, OLB Harold Landry and WR Racey McMath were activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list and added to the active roster. Rookie safety Brady Breeze was placed on IR and will have to miss at least three games before returning to action. Breeze joins RB Darrynton Evans, C Daniel Munyer and WR Marcus Johnson on IR.

By our count, the Titans have now added 15 players to their practice squad, and have one spot remaining. As always, stay tuned to MCM for updates.
