Prior to the past two seasons, the Tennessee Titans lacked consistent, top-notch play from the quarterback and wide receiver positions.
That seems to be changing recently, though, with quarterback Ryan Tannehill consistently maintaining a quietly elite level of play and his pass-catchers coming through for him more times than not.
Corey Davis proved he can be an asset to Tannehill and the Titans in 2020, reeling in 65 catches for 984 yards and five touchdowns.
In his second season, A.J. Brown continued to prove that he was one of the team’s most valuable players, totaling 70 receptions for 1,075 yards and 11 touchdowns.
Because of their effectiveness, it’s not surprising that Brown and Davis were the only wide receiver duo in the top 10 in passer rating when targeted from last season, according to Pro Football Focus.
Brown ranked fourth (133.4), while Davis ranked seventh (123.6).
Passer rating when targeted this season:
A.J. Brown: 133.4 (4th)
Corey Davis: 123.6 (7th)

Expect Brown to continue to emerge as a top NFL receiver when the 2021 season cranks up, while it remains to be seen as to whether or not Davis will remain with the Titans or find a new landing spot in free agency.
If there’s anything we can bet on, though, it’s that the Titans will sport an elite offense once again next season if Davis returns to team up with Brown and Tannehill.
