Titans' Briley Moore carted off from practice with apparent knee injury

July 31, 2021 by Titans Wire Leave a Comment

During Saturday’s practice, the Tennessee Titans saw an injury to one of their tight ends who will be vying for a depth role in training camp, 2021 undrafted free agent, Briley Moore.

According to multiple beat writers on the ground, Moore appeared to suffer a left knee injury during the seven-on-seven portion of practice and was carted off the field. His status remains unknown at the moment.

The Kansas State product was signed by the Titans following the 2021 NFL draft. He posted an elite Relative Athletic Score (RAS) of 9.02, the third-best among all tight ends in the class. We listed him as one of the Titans UDFAs with the best chance to make the roster earlier this offseason.

Normally when the cart comes out it’s a bad sign, but hopefully it was just used as a precaution and Moore’s injury isn’t serious.

The rookie wasn’t the only one to leave practice early with an injury, though, as outside linebacker Derick Roberson also sustained an injury on Saturday.

Moore is currently embroiled in a competition for a depth role at tight end with Tommy Hudson, Miller Forristall, Jared Pinkney, and the team’s most recent addition at the position, Luke Stocker. Anthony Firkser and Geoff Swaim are expected to take the top two spots on the depth chart.
