The Tennessee Titans are hosting Oregon TE Terrance Ferguson on a pre-draft visit
The Tennessee Titans sent a large contingent to Miami on Monday to watch Hurricanes quarterback Cam Ward perform at Pro Day. The group in attendance included general manager Mike Borgonzi, president Chad Brinker, head coach Brian Callahan, offensive coordinator Nick Holz, and quarterbacks coach Bo Hardegree, among front-office assistants Dave Ziegler and Reggie McKenzie. Even Jim Wyatt and members of the in-house media crew were sent to capture footage of Ward, the potential No. 1 overall selection in the 2025 NFL Draft.
The Titans’ brass quickly returned to Nashville and even began hosting another pre-draft prospect on a visit. Oregon Ducks tight end Terrance Ferguson is in town for a “30” visit with the Titans, according to a report from Paul Kuharsky. That is awfully interesting.

Tight end isn’t generally considered a massive need for the Titans. They’re entering 2025 with Chig Okonkwo and Josh Whyle still on their rookie contracts. A third player is needed, but it doesn’t necessarily need to be a high-level prospect. Alternatively, Okonkwo is entering a contract campaign, and if the Titans are high on Ferguson, they could draft him where the public expects them to draft a receiver.
Ferguson recorded 43 receptions for 591 receiving yards and three touchdowns for an explosive Ducks offense that had Dillon Gabriel under center this past season. It was an appropriate follow-up to a 2023 campaign that saw Ferguson produce 42 catches for 414 yards and a career-high six end-zone visits.
Ferguson was also outstanding at the NFL Combine. The Littleton, Colorado native ran a blazing-fast 4.63-second 40 yard dash at 6-foot-5 and 247 pounds. Ferguson also leaped a 39 inch vertical and 10-foot-2 broad jump. His Relative Athletic Score (RAS) is an elite 9.30.
The Titans desperately need to acquire pass catchers to pair with Calvin Ridley for the next starting quarterback. Many expect that to be a wide receiver in the 35-100 range. Perhaps the Titans will surprise the masses by drafting a tight end like Ferguson instead.
