Tennessee Titans wide receiver Julio Jones had not practiced since Aug. 2 when he landed awkwardly and was deemed to have a minor injury, but he was able to take part in practice on Tuesday.
According to ESPN’s Turron Davenport, Jones was on the field wearing full gear for the first time in a while (photo below). He was on the side doing wind sprints while wide receivers did individual drills.
Later on in practice, Jones participated in half-speed 11-on-11s, as did fellow wideout A.J. Brown, per Ben Arthur of The Tennessean. Jones even caught a few passes during the period.
Based on these latest developments, we would assume Jones isn’t dealing with an injury, but rather having his reps managed. Whatever the case may be, this is a great sign that he’s on track to be just fine for Week 1.

The Titans have their third and final preseason game this Saturday against the Chicago Bears, and head coach Mike Vrabel hinted that he may play more starters in it, even if just for a handful of snaps. We’ll see if he does, and if Jones is one of the players who sees the field.
