Titans' Mike Vrabel talks Caleb Farley's debut, where rookie goes from here

August 3, 2021 by Titans Wire Leave a Comment

Tennessee Titans first-round pick and cornerback, Caleb Farley, made his 2021 training camp debut on Monday after missing all of OTAs following back surgery in March.

Farley was activated off the Non-Football Injury (NFI) list prior to the session, which allowed him to participate.

Titans head coach Mike Vrabel says that the plan is to work Farley back in before he starts getting in full days of practice, according to Titans247:

“It is just going to be working him back in and trying to make sure that he feels good and that the conditioning level is where it needs to be, to be able to compete and get him through practice,” Vrabel said.

Farley did take part in drills and did some work with the offense during his first practice.

As far as what’s next for the rookie, Vrabel basically says it’s a wait-and-see approach, and strength and conditioning coach Frank Piraino, as well as Tennessee’s head trainer, Todd Toriscelli, will have input.

“Every body has a different plan and some guys do a little bit more, some guys do less,” Vrabel explained. “We will see how he feels and how Todd and Frank… what the follow up is with that. We will evaluate him again in the morning and then just continue to progress as we move forward.”

Farley should be back out on the practice field on Tuesday when the Titans will strap the pads on for the first time in training camp. The rookie will likely be a limited participant once again.
