The Tennessee Titans suffered their fifth loss of the 2021 campaign in Week 15 against the Pittsburgh Steelers thanks to a second-half collapse that led to a 19-13 defeat.
With the loss, the Titans allowed the Indianapolis Colts to inch closer in the AFC South, and they squandered an opportunity to move back into the No. 1 seed in the conference.
However, the Titans can clinch the AFC South in Week 16 with a win and an Indianapolis Colts loss. Also, Tennessee can re-take the No. 1 seed with a win and losses by the Kansas City Chiefs and New England Patriots.
We start our Titans NFL power rankings round-up with USA TODAY’s Nate Davis, who has Tennessee moving backwards from No. 8 to No. 9 ahead of their Thursday night game against the San Francisco 49ers.
Here’s his take on things:
9. Titans (8): AFC South leaders remain under radar, though might have surfaced had they wrested No. 1 seed from Chiefs over the weekend. Still, don’t lose sight of a team poised to get WR A.J. Brown back soon and maybe RB Derrick Henry later.
Now, a look at where the Titans landed in the NFL power rankings of other experts from different media outlets going into Week 16 of the 2021 season.
