Days after the Tennessee Titans were eliminated from the 2021 playoffs after a divisional-round loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, players took to Twitter to thank fans for a campaign that had a ton of promise but ended in bitter disappointment.
While the regular season was no doubt a success, especially considering the amount of injuries the Titans were able to overcome, the overall campaign was a failure because it didn’t end with a Super Bowl.
If you’re looking for a silver lining in all this, just know that this team’s future is still bright and it has at least a few more years in its current window.
Granted, there are major questions about Ryan Tannehill and Todd Downing, but the Titans are still littered with talent on both sides of the ball and have a young defense that should be very good for a long time.
And, things could certainly be worse; you could be a Jacksonville Jaguars, Indianapolis Colts or Houston Texans fan.
But I digress… here’s how Kevin Byard, Jeffery Simmons and more Titans players thanked fans on social media on Monday.
