Titans react to Derrick Henry's 'Madden NFL 22' rating with funny meme

August 7, 2021 by Titans Wire Leave a Comment

When “Madden NFL 22” started releasing its top 10 rated players at each position ahead of the game’s release, we discovered that Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry wasn’t the highest-rated back.

Instead, it was Carolina Panthers rusher Christian McCaffrey, whose 97 was one rating point higher than Henry and Cleveland Browns back, Nick Chubb, both of whom tied for the second-highest mark with a 96.

But that wasn’t our only gripe. Despite getting a 99 stiff-arm rating, Henry somehow landed the third-best break tackle rating with a 95, behind Chubb (97) and Minnesota Vikings back, Dalvin Cook (96).

Never mind that Henry has more yards after contact than every back in the NFL has rushing yards over the past two seasons — but I digress…

On Twitter, the Titans posted their reaction to Henry’s ratings via a meme using an all-too-familiar clip of him disposing of another grown man.

Our thoughts exactly.

After winning a rushing title in back-to-back years and becoming the eighth player in NFL history to rush for 2,000 yards, there really isn’t much more Henry can do to earn a better rating.

Yes, he could do more in the passing game, but even without that production the man has been the most dominant back in the sport the past two years by a wide margin.

Maybe Henry has to rush for 3,000 yards to get the respect he deserves.
