We made it!
Hope springs eternal as the 2025 Tennessee Titans season kicks off today with the team reporting to training camp. It’s the time of the year when every team has dreams of winning a Super Bowl. That’s probably not in the cards for the Titans this season, but there is a lot of optimism surrounding Cam Ward. He has done all of the things you want to see from a rookie quarterback this offseason. Now, it is time for him to prove it on the field.
The Titans did a lot of good things this offseason. They invested a ton in the offensive line, signing Dan Moore, Jr. and Kevin Zeitler. The Moore signing allows last year’s first round pick, JC Latham, to move over to right tackle. That unit should be a lot better than it was last year.
I still have my questions about the skill guys on offense, but the hope there is that Ward is able to elevate the play of the guys on the roster in a way that Will Levis and Mason Rudolph couldn’t last season.
On defense, it is still not clear how they are going to be able to rush the passer. They invested less in pass rush this offseason than I expected them to. The big key is going to be second round pick Femi Oladejo. He’s a raw player with a lot of athletic upside. Can he come in and make an immediate impact?
This is one of the best times of the year. It will be fun to watch this team develop over the course of the season. Chad Brinker and Mike Borgonzi are set to speak to the media at 12:00 Central today. Be sure and check back later for updates from that press conference.
