The Tennessee Titans are going to cut a recently signed pass rusher once the new league starts next week.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Titans will release Bud Dupree on Mar. 15 when the new league year starts. The move will save them close to $10 million against the salary cap.
Dupree was originally signed to a massive five-year $82.5 million deal heading into the 2021 season. He only lasted two seasons before this report came out.
He only appeared in 22 games over the two seasons and finished with 35 total tackles (27 solo), seven sacks, two forced fumbles, two forced fumbles, and one pass defended.
He’ll be free to sign with any team once his release becomes official next Wednesday.
We’ll have to see who goes after him once the floodgates open.
