With the 204th overall pick in the 2022 NFL draft, the Tennessee Titans kept it local and selected Tennessee defensive back, Theo Jackson.
The 6-foot-2, 203-pound Nashville native offers plenty of versatility, which is exactly what you want out of a late-round pick.
Not only can Jackson play safety, but he’s also experienced playing on the outside and out of the slot. In fact, the Tennessee product had 10 slot pass break-ups in 2021, the most of any cornerback, per Pro Football Focus.
He finished the campaign with 78 tackles, nine tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, 12 pass breakups and one interception, which he returned for a score.
All in all, there’s a lot to like about Jackson, who could battle for the role vacated by Dane Cruikshank after he left to the Chicago Bears.
We are finally approaching the end of the Titans’ draft. Tennessee has just one more pick, which will come at No. 219 in the sixth round.
