Titans vs. Jaguars Week 14 injury report: Wednesday

December 7, 2022 by Titans Wire

These last few days have been filled with a lot of emotions following the A.J. Brown revenge game, and the firing of former Tennessee Titans general manager Jon Robinson shortly thereafter.

However, it’s time to turn the page and shift the focus back to the task at hand, which is securing the AFC South and getting the best playoff spot possible.

This Sunday, the Titans (7-5) try to end their two-game losing streak as they host the Jacksonville Jaguars (4-8) in an AFC South clash. The Titans have historically done well against the Jags, and they desperately need that to continue this weekend.

Unfortunately, Tennessee has several banged-up bodies on its roster at the moment. It would be ideal for the Titans to clinch the AFC South as soon as possible so they can start to let guys heal up knowing that the No. 1 Seed isn’t a realistic goal this season.

They got some good news and bad news before today’s practice.

Wide receiver Racey McMath and defensive back Josh Thompson were designated to return from injured reserve, but cornerback Elijah Molden was placed on injured reserve for a second time this season.

The Washington product will be required to miss at least four games, but an updated NFL rule would at least allow him to return by Week 18 if he’s able to get healthy.

Other notable names to keep an eye on throughout the week are quarterback Ryan Tannehill, cornerback Kristian Fulton, linebacker David Long, defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons, and defensive lineman Denico Autry.

As for Jacksonville, all eyes will be on quarterback Trevor Lawrence’s status throughout the week as he battles a foot injury.

Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence (foot) will not practice on Wednesday. Doug Pederson calls him day to day and said he’s unsure if Lawrence will be able to play on Sunday.

Having said all that, let’s take a closer look at the first practice updates of the week for both teams.
