Titans vs. Texans: 3 best player prop bets ahead for Week 18

January 4, 2025 by Titans Wire

The Tennessee Titans are ending their 2024 season against the Houston Texans on Sunday. The Titans won the first meeting and will be going for the season sweep in Week 18.

On BetMGM, the Titans are favored by 1.5 points; the point total is 36.5. The Texans have already clinched the AFC South, so the team’s backups are expected to play a significant number of snaps on Sunday.

The Titans, meanwhile, would get the No. 1 pick in the 2024 NFL draft if they lose Sunday, and the Patriots win against the Bills.

Now, let’s identify the best player prop bets available on BetMGM.

Calvin Ridley OVER 61.5 receiving yards

Calvin Ridley has eclipsed this total two weeks in a row seven times overall this year. One of those seven times was the last meeting with the Texans.

Factor in that Ridley needs just 59 yards to reach 1,000 for the season and this one should easily go over. Expect Ridley to be force-fed the ball, especially considering the Titans have nothing else to play for.

Dameon Pierce OVER 50+ rushing yards

Dameon Pierce has been an afterthought on the Houston offense in 2024 due to the presence of Joe Mixon. Mixon will likely start on Sunday, but Pierce should be worked in as the game goes.

Expect the former Florida Gator to make the most of his opportunity. The Texans will likely try to control the time of possession and leave the game without any injuries. Therefore, Pierce should get plenty of carries.

The Titans’ run defense has been gashed at times this year and is No. 22 in opponent rushing yards.

Tony Pollard anytime TD scorer

Tony Pollard has some major incentives on the line in Week 18. The running back needs 83 rushing yards to earn a $250,000 incentive and two TDs to earn another $200,000.00

Expect the Titans to be fully aware of this fact and give the RB plenty of chances to cash in. Houston is much better against the run than the Titans, but Pollard had over 100 yards in the first meeting.

Pollard will end his season with another 100-yard game and at least one TD.
