Titans waive, release 20 players to meet NFL roster deadline

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The Tennessee Titans, along with the other 31 NFL teams, had to make cuts on Tuesday to meet the league’s 53-man roster deadline.

The Titans waived 14 players and released six others. Running back Tyjae Spears was also placed on injured reserve, yet he is designated to return.

Here’s a look at who was cut from the Titans on Tuesday before the NFL roster deadline:

Waived

  • Linebacker Brian Asamoah II
  • Defensive back Kendell Brooks
  • Tight end Drake Dabney
  • Offensive tackle Jaelyn Duncan
  • Outside linebacker Ali Gaye
  • Defensive tackle Cam Horsley
  • Running back Jermar Jefferson
  • Wide receiver Mason Kinsey
  • Running back Jordan Mims
  • Tight end Thomas Odukoya
  • Nose tackle Isaiah Raikes
  • Wide receiver Xavier Restrepo
  • Offensive lineman Andrew Rupcich
  • Tight end Josh Whyle

These players’ contracts will now go on the waiver wire for other NFL teams to claim.
