Todd McShay 2025 NFL mock draft

Just thought it would be fun to use a Washington State picture!

Todd McShay has ventured out on his own after years at ESPN. Most of his stuff has been behind a paywall, but he put his fourth 2025 NFL mock draft out for everyone to see. He, of course, has the Tennessee Titans taking Cam Ward, QB, Miami with the first overall pick. It hasn’t been as much fun for us to look at mock drafts this year with everyone knowing that Ward is going to be the pick.

With that being said, there are a few other things of interest in his mock. He has the New York Giants trading with the Detroit Lions to get back into the first round to take Jaxson Dart, QB, Ole Miss, with the 28th pick. Dart is the second quarterback he has coming off the board. McShay did add a bonus pick with Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado, falling all the way to pick 33 by the Cleveland Browns.

We haven’t talked much about what the other teams in the AFC South will be doing in the draft. McShay has the Jacksonville Jaguars taking Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State, with the 5th pick. I’d love for the Jags to take a running back in the top 5.

He has the Indianapolis Colts taking Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State, with the 14th pick. I’d be worried about that if they had a quarterback. They don’t.

The first pick I don’t like in the division is the Houston Texans taking Matthew Golden, WR, Texas, with the 25th pick. I don’t love CJ Stroud getting another weapon.

Here are McShay’s comments on Ward to the Titans:

Brian Callahan has spent his entire career building for the opportunity to select his choice of quarterback as a head coach. He spent time early in his NFL coaching career as an offensive assistant in Denver with Peyton Manning. He made his way up the ranks, working with Matthew Stafford and Derek Carr before being elevated to Cincinnati’s offensive coordinator and helping take Joe Burrow and the Bengals to the Super Bowl. He’ll hope to experience similar success with Cam Ward.
