It’s been a tough few years for the former first round pick.
The hits just keep coming for Tennessee Titans wide receiver Treylon Burks. The team has not confirmed his injury yet, but the reports are that he broke his collarbone yesterday in practice at Nissan Stadium. That will likely keep him out for a couple of months. Burks just hasn’t been able to stay healthy in his young NFL career.
It seems like every camp, once there is positive buzz around Burks, he suffers a major injury. This time, it comes not long after Cam Ward talked about how much he liked throwing to Burks at the end last week. Burks was also reportedly in great shape when he reported.
Things were always stacked against Burks here after he was drafted with the pick Jon Robinson traded for AJ Brown. I don’t have to tell you how the careers of those two players have unfolded since that night.
The injury probably doesn’t change much with the Titans’ plans at receiver. I can’t imagine they were planning on Burks being a big part of the offense after how his career has gone to this point.
