Tennessee Titans offensive coordinator Todd Downing was arrested for driving under the influence after last night’s win over the Green Bay Packers.
Records show that Downing was booked at about 4:30 a.m. local time by the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office in Tennessee. He was released a few hours later.
There’s never an excuse for putting others in danger by driving under the influence — but there certainly wasn’t one for Downing.
The Titans — like most NFL organizations — have a free Lyft service to prevent this very thing.
The Titans have not yet released a statement on Downing’s arrest. The 42-year-old assistant has been with the organization since 2019, starting as a tight end’s coach before getting the promotion to OC in 2021.
