NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Wide receiver Tyler Lockett wore a Tennessee Titans t-shirt during his introductory press conference Thursday.
However, it wasn’t the first time he’d repped the team. Lockett has been a fan of the Titans since he was a teenager, even traveling from Tulsa, Oklahoma to Nashville for a playoff game in 2008.
“I actually went to the Titans versus Baltimore playoff game,” Lockett said. “It was my mom, my best friend Dante, and I want to say his mom as well. We drove all the way up to Nashville, stayed over by Vanderbilt and we went to the game. I was a fan of Vince Young.”

After ten years in the NFL, Lockett is now playing for the team he rooted for after signing a one-year, $4 million deal with the team this offseason.
“I actually grew up a Titans fan when I was younger,” Lockett said. “I’m not just saying that.”

Lockett is one of the key additions to the Titans this offseason — coming off a 600-yard season in which he recorded two touchdowns, but played all 17 games for the Seattle Seahawks.
