After taking a look at a way-too-early starting offense projection for 2022, we’re now moving on to the Tennessee Titans’ starting defense, which has much fewer question marks ahead of the upcoming campaign.
Of course, nothing is set in stone quite yet. We still have free agency going on, and the Titans will add to their roster with seven selections in the 2022 NFL draft later this month.
However, none of the Titans’ future moves this offseason figure to have any impact on the starting defense, as unlike the offense, the Titans are bringing back several starters from what was a wildly successful 2021 season for the unit.
As I’ve said all offseason long, one of the mandates for the Titans should be to keep this impressive defense together, and so far general manager Jon Robinson has done just that.
With all that in mind, let’s take a look at a way-too-early starting defense projection for the Titans. This list will have 12 players, as we’re also including the slot cornerback.
