Tennessee Titans undrafted free agent and running back Julius Chestnut was one of 17 UDFA signings the team made following the 2022 NFL draft.
Prior to an injury-shortened 2021 campaign, Chestnut totaled 2,925 rushing yards (5.8 yards per carry), 397 receiving yards and 31 total scores over the previous three years.
His best year came in 2019, when the Sacred Heart product finished with career-highs in rushing yards (1,495), receiving yards (177), and total and rushing touchdowns (13 and 11, respectively).
As of this moment, the Titans figure to have two locks at the position, with Derrick Henry and 2022 fourth-round pick Hassan Haskins. We’d consider Dontrell Hilliard as someone who is a near-lock at worst.
With that said, there is, at most, just be one spot up for grabs at running back going into training camp, and Chestnut will have competition from fellow backs Jordan Wilkins and Trenton Cannon for it.
